Chance The Rapper Is Youngest Person On Fortune's 40 Under 40 List

Chance The Rapper just can't stop making history! According to TIME, the 24-year-old rapper is the youngest person on Fortune's new 40 Under 40 list.

This annual list is a ranking of the most influential people in the business world. So, Chance making this list is very special, especially for someone his age. The recording artist has always had a great business sense. While many performers practically beg to get signed to a major label, Chance decided that this wasn't the path that he wanted to take in his career.

He's purposely remained independent. This move has definitely paid off because now his net worth is $9 million, due to his ticket and merchandise sales. And let's not forget about his 2016 project, Coloring Book. It quickly made history in a number of different ways, including becoming the first streaming record to chart on the Billboard 200. Iconic!

Chance also has a huge heart and is known for being extremely philanthropic. Within the past few months, he's donated over $1 million to CPS (Chicago Public Schools), co-founded the SocialWorks charity for at-risk Chicago kids and gave away 30,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to children at the 2017 Bud Billiken Parade. Due to this charity work, Chance has gotten public praise from former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama. The rapper was also awarded with the Humanitarian Award at the 2017 BET Awards.

Shoutout to Chance for continuing to be a young legend.
