Legend also opened up about about what his favorite Christmas songs mean to him. Read on below.

Nat King Cole - "Oh Come, All Ye Faithful"

"Nat King Cole is one of my inspirations, he's one of my favorite singers of all time. I've listened to him so much and when I made my Christmas album, A Legendary Christmas, he was one of the artists that I thought of the most; he inspired me."

Marvin Gaye - "Purple Snowflakes"

"A lot of people hadn't heard of that song, but I decided to cover that song for my new album because it's so cool and I love Marvin Gaye."

Ella Fitzgerald - "Sleigh Ride"

"I used to sing 'Sleigh Ride' in Show Choir when I was in high school. Somebody just sent me a picture of me in Show Choir. I'm going try not to let that get circulated too much."

Stevie Wonder - "Someday at Christmas"

"This song is really special because as we take the time to reflect on how blessed we are for this Christmas season, we have to realize that there are a lot of people out there in the world that are still struggling and still suffering, and this song is really keeping our eye and our hearts on those people."
