The National Weather Service is confirming that tornadoes touched down early Sunday morning in Livingston and Tangipahoa Parishes.
The agency says an EF-0 touched down in Livingston Parish around 4:30 a.m. in Whitehall. Its 75 mph winds damaged trees and the roof of one house.
An EF-1 twister with 95 mph winds touched down just before 6 a.m. in Tangipahoa Parish near Robert. It damaged about two dozen trees and destroyed a tent at a church camp.
