There were no changes on the future path of Tropical Storm Bertha as of the 10pm advisory Tuesday from the National Hurricane Center.
Bertha is expected to continue moving westward towards southeast Louisiana, with a landfall expected sometime on Wednesday.
A tropical storm warning includes metro New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain.
"Bertha is forecast to bring the threat of tropical storm force wind gusts generally along and south of I-10, and coastal flooding of up to 2 to 4 feet above normally dry ground," the National Weather Service office in Slidell said Tuesday afternoon. "The threat for locally heavy rainfall will be limited to coastal areas of southeast Louisiana though a few stray storms could still provide quick rainfall totals up to 1-2 inches further north to the I-10/12 corridor."
Before Bertha's arrival, southeast Louisiana will be under an extreme heat warning, with expected heat indices around 113-115 degrees Wednesday afternoon.
